  The First Book Printed In Scotland

I ganked this from Brian Ruckley's blog. It's a facsimile and transcription of the first book printed in Scotland 500 years ago, a collection of various texts, and total geek fun for lovers of language and obscure stories.

Interesting. At least it's not in Latin - as far as I can see, anyway!

Arrggh - what's up with Blogger this morning - it keeps giving me word verifications that are almost impossible to read!

I think there's a Latin text further down, but most of it is English. Sort of. After the Scots got their hands on it and added a bunch of Scandinavian and Gaelic words, plus some funny pronounciation. :)

But after I made my way through some Burns poems, nothing can scare me any more.
